THESE FABRICS WERE TESTED FOR THE LACK OF COMPOSITION OF ENVIRONMENTALLY HARMFUL SUBSTANCES:
Benzenes, chlorinated benzenes and toluenes They are used as solvents and raw materials in the production of dyes, pesticides, varnishes and disinfectants. They are also a high-energy component of motor gasoline, |
Organic tin compounds They are used in the plastics industry as stabilizers in the production of PVC and as catalysts in the production of polyurethane. They are also used as fungicides, insecticides and anti-corrosion agents. |
|||
Phthalates Used in the production of PVC articles and other plastics, which they provide flexibility, increase their resistance to mechanical damage and to external factors such as moisture and temperature, and improve performance. They include, among others toys for children, food packaging, artificial fabrics. |
Bisphenol A (BPA) It occurs very often in the composition of plastics, incl. in plastic packaging, which gives a specific shape, flexibility and plasticity, or in artificial fabrics. |
|||
PFC (Perfluorocarbons) Widely used in industry, e.g. in cooling devices, electronics, drug production, cosmetics and textiles. They provide the fabrics with hydrophobic properties (difficult for water to penetrate deep into the fibers) and resistance to dirt. After getting into the Earth's atmosphere, in gaseous form, they cause the greenhouse effect. |
PAH (PAH) The main source of their emissions to the atmosphere are fossil fuels and exhaust gases of car transport. They are used in the production of drugs, paints, pesticides and plastics. They are also found in cosmetics and detergents used in the fabric production process. The dye responsible for the risk of contamination in these types of agents is coal tar. |
